About AYA Family
Peace of mind in a tiny QR code
AYA Family makes smart QR products — wristbands for kids, name labels for clothes and gear, and luggage tags — that connect what you love back to you.
When someone finds your child, your jacket or your suitcase, they simply scan the code with their phone camera. They can call or message you right away — directly in the browser, no app needed, and without ever seeing your private details.
AYA Family is built by Avira Apps ApS in Denmark and works across Europe — in more than 100 languages.
Who is behind it?
AYA Family is built and run by Avira Apps ApS, a Danish company. We build products we use for our own families.

What is AYA Family?
AYA Family is the family of smart QR products: wristbands for kids, name labels and luggage tags. They all work the same way — whoever finds it scans the code and can contact you instantly.
How does a scan work?
The finder scans the QR code with their phone camera and lands on a page showing the alias you chose. From there they can call or message you directly in the browser — the finder doesn't need to install anything.
What is the video call — and is it safe?
If someone finds your child and scans the QR code, they can start a free video call to you right in the browser — with no app and no phone numbers at all. You see and hear your child instantly. The call is anonymous, and all contact goes through AYA.
Will I be notified when someone scans?
Yes. The moment your child’s wristband is scanned, you get a push notification right on your screen. We use push only — we never send SMS and never ask for a phone number. On iPhone, just add AYA to your home screen and allow notifications to get them on the lock screen; on other devices it works with nothing extra.
Who can see my information?
The finder only sees the alias you chose — never your email or address. All contact happens anonymously through AYA in the browser, so you decide what you share.
Does AYA have an app — and what's the difference between web and a web app (PWA)?
No, AYA deliberately has no app in the App Store or Google Play. That means neither you nor the person scanning has to accept Apple's or Google's terms — and we share no data with them. Everything runs on our side: the video call, the GPS location and the finder flow are 100% in-house and pure web. That's why AYA needs no account or passwords to work — you can quietly create a login on your own initiative if you want to keep your bands, but it is never required. The only thing that needs consent is notifications, and on iPhone web notifications require adding the page to your home screen as a web app (PWA). That's why AYA comes in two forms: an ordinary website and a web app/PWA you can install with one tap — the same AYA, your choice.
How do I activate a product?
Open AYA in your browser — or as a web app on your home screen — sign in with your email, and activate the product with an alias such as your child's nickname. From that moment the code is active and ready to be scanned.
Why does the wristband only work for 24 hours?
Because safety shouldn't cost your child's privacy — and because the band is made for one day. When you activate it before an outing, the QR code is active for 24 hours and then expires automatically. The parent who activates the band is the one notified if someone scans it — no one else. Afterwards the child's name is deleted automatically, so no permanent profile is left on your child. The band itself is a small piece of waterproof plastic, made for one day of wear — a few grams, no battery, no electronics. Hence a single-use wristband: buy a pack, use a couple, and if you lose one it's no problem.
Should I choose single-use now — or wait for a permanent one?
It depends on your need, and both are fine. The single-use band is for you if you want safety here and now without commitment: no subscription, nothing to charge, no fear of losing it, and your child's name is deleted automatically afterwards. A permanent, reusable option is for you if you'd rather use the same band again and again — it's still in development. You don't have to wait: many families use single-use bands today and can always switch to reusable later. Want to hear when the reusable one is ready? Sign up on our Environment page.
Can I buy a single wristband?
Single wristbands are available in person at our retailers — and in time perhaps in the park itself. Online we sell in packs of 10, because that gives you the best price when you plan ahead and want wristbands ready in the drawer. Our retailer network keeps expanding — look for a retailer near you.
What does it cost — is there a subscription?
Most AYA products are one-time purchases with no subscription. See current prices and bundles in the shop.
What about delivery, returns and cancellation?
We ship quickly, and you naturally have the right of withdrawal. The exact terms are in our terms of trade, and support is always happy to help.
Does it work abroad?
Yes. The QR code works everywhere in the world, and the page automatically appears in the finder's own language — we support more than 100 languages.
Does AYA work in my language?
Yes. AYA is born global and local: the entire app, the dashboard, the shop, receipts and messages, push notifications — even this FAQ — exist in all our languages (over 100). And when someone finds your child, the finder's page automatically appears in the finder's own language.
How do I contact you?
